Halloween Beliefs and Costume

In the old times, there are many superstitions and beliefs. They believe that it is the end of "season of the sun" and the start of "season of darkness". Since ancient times, there is a belief that Halloween is a day when the dead can return to this world. That belief originates in the Celtic times and was adopted until this time. Many of us has its own traditions on how they will spend their Halloween day, some of them go to the cemetery and spend the whole night to be with their loved ones that passed away. This is also their way to gather their family to bond with each other. While others are busy to make their own unique dresses like the Lady Bug costume to join parties and events such as trick or treat and Halloween costume party.

This event is always held during Halloween season. This is not only for kids but also for adults. They can wear what they want pretending to be a Vampire, Ghost, Skeleton or even  to be a princess-like image and of  Cinderella costume or  the Dorothy  costume from the Wizard of Oz.

Decorating house is the most priority in celebrating Halloween traditions. Jack-o'-lanterns are the omnipresent Halloween symbol. They are made from hollowed out pumpkins with a face carved into them. Often the face is made to appear frightful. A candle is placed inside the lantern to illuminate it. Those are the traditions and beliefs that are passed unto us from the old times.
